Around the World: Virtual Tour 🌍🌎 France

Heyy everyone! Welcome to the 3rd edition of Around the World: Virtual Tour!! In this edition we’ll be travelling to one of the most culturally rich countries: France!!

Before we begin lets see a quick overview of the country. France is a country in Western Europe which is known by many of its famous tourist attractions. The main tourist attractions lie in France’s capital city: Paris. Paris is famous not only for the Eiffel Tower but also for it’s classical art museums such as the Louvre (or Le Musée du Louvre in French). France is also known for its extravagant cuisine that comprises of a variety of cheeses such as Camembert and Brie and it’s famous baguette. France’s currency is the Euro and it’s current Prime Minister is Jean Castex.

As we begin our tour, let’s take a brief look at the places we’ll be visiting. We’ll be visiting a total of 3 cities in France: Paris, Bordeaux and Lyon.

Paris

Paris – the capital city of France – is home to numerous tourist attractions and is a major European city. It’s famous tourist attractions include art museums such as the Louvre Museum that showcases the famous Mona Lisa, rivers such as the Seine, cathedrals such as the Notre Dame and also the famous and stunning Eiffel Tower.

Bordeaux

Bordeaux: a port city of France is famed for its wine growing region. It has a variety of tourist attractions such as the “Miroir d’Eau” (The Water Mirror), Monument aux Girondins, St. Andre Cathedral and the Grand Theatre.

Lyon

Lyon is the capital city of France’s Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region and sits at the junction of the Rhône and Saône rivers. The most famous tourist attractions here include the Musée des Beaux Arts (Museum of Fine Arts), Musée de la Civilisation Gallo-Romaine (Museum o Gallo-Roman Civilization), Presqu’ile District (Peninsula District), Musée de l’Imprimerie (Museum of the Printing Press) and Basilique Notre-Dame de Fourviere (Basilica of Notre-Dame de Fourviere).
